The STAN Plan follows the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) Strategic Prevention Framework through assessment, capacity, planning, implementation, evaluation and sustainability. Virginia ABC aims to provide Teams with resources which build their capacity as they work to develop and implement a STAN Plan addressing a youth substance use issue in their school or community.
All Teams receive training to successfully develop, implement and evaluate their STAN Plan. The following supplemental resources support the training curriculum as Teams navigate their plan. These resources are organized according to the section of the STAN Plan they support.
